I had the privilege of meeting the Chelsea Pensioners when they visited Oldham as part of their Outreach Programme. It was a wonderful afternoon with fantastic company and music. Following on from their visit I was able to make contact with some of the Chelsea Pensioners who invited myself and my family for a private tour to the Royal Chelsea Hospital in September on Imogen’s 7th birthday! Having the chance to see behind the scenes and even having a meal in the Great Hall was a once in a lifetime opportunity for which I am sincerely grateful. Imogen was even sung to by the Chelsea Pensioners and blew a candle out thanks to the Kitchen Staff!
